A power utility may need a commissioning package for transformer acceptance, while an electronics manufacturer may need a bench instrument that supports EMC pre-compliance work. A telecom team may care about RF alignment evidence, and a maintenance group may need thermal images connected to energized-work procedures. Those use cases require different proof, so the request should mention whether the response must include a datasheet, calibration quote, service interval, conformity document, or a review of the uncertainty statement.

Include the measurement range, accuracy class or stated accuracy, calibration interval, approval region and any certificate format required by your quality system. If hazardous-area use is involved, include the required marking and zone, such as Ex ia IIC T4 Ga for Zone 0, rather than writing that the device must be safe everywhere.
